Grants and Finance Officer (AHADI)

About the role

The Grants and Finance Officer (AHADI) will support World Vision’s mission to improve the lives of vulnerable children by managing project finances, partner relationships, and procurement processes in Dodoma.

Key responsibilities

• Finance, budget, and fixed‑asset management (40%): ensure funding requests follow approved work plans, prepare and revise budgets, track expenditures, maintain the fixed‑asset register, and support finance and logistics, including fleet oversight.
• Partner management (30%): review and post monthly partner reports, assess partner capacity, build capacity where needed, and ensure accurate monthly burn rates and timely partner retirements.
• Project payments (15%): process timely payments to vendors, partners and beneficiaries while maintaining proper documentation and compliance.
• Procurement support (5%): submit procurement plans, keep complete records, and ensure procurement is executed on schedule according to the plan.
• Timesheet and audit support (5%): assist staff with timesheet submission, support audit processes, and respond promptly to audit queries.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in donor‑funded environments with exposure to project accounting, budgeting, grants, contracts and partner management.
• At least one year of experience with an international NGO is preferred.
• Proven ability to prepare, analyse and present financial reports.
• Strong organisational and supervisory skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
