Front Desk Supervisor

About the role

The Front Desk Supervisor leads the daily operations of the Front Office at a luxury safari lodge, ensuring seamless service for guests throughout all shifts. This role combines leadership, guest‑service excellence, and coordination with other departments to deliver the Four Seasons standard of hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise front office activities, guaranteeing smooth check‑in, check‑out and lobby operations.
• Lead, motivate and support Front Desk team members to uphold high guest‑experience standards.
• Monitor staff performance, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and service standards.
• Prepare shift reports and communicate operational updates during handovers.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk, lobby and reception area.
• Coordinate room allocations with Housekeeping to maximize availability and guest satisfaction.
• Verify guest accounts and review departure bills for accuracy before presentation.
• Assign guests the correct room type and rate according to reservations.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising front office or reception teams in a hospitality setting.
• Strong leadership and team‑building abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
