5G Optimization Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled 5G Optimization Engineer with hands‑on experience in Nokia 5G radio networks. The role involves supporting network introduction, stabilization, and continuous optimization to deliver a high‑quality 5G user experience and meet contractual targets.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate 5G NR RF design parameters (SSB, PCI, RACH/RSI, TAC, NR ARFCN, power, bandwidth, antenna).
• Perform Site Readiness Verification and Cluster Readiness checks before commercial launch.
• Conduct drive‑test verification (TEMS/Nemo) and optimize initial 5G parameters such as SSB power, beam configuration, and mobility thresholds.
• Monitor post‑launch performance using Nokia NetAct and KPI dashboards; analyze and improve accessibility, retainability, mobility, and throughput.
• Resolve coverage, interference, beam‑management, and overshooting issues; support feature readiness (beamforming, DSS).
• Optimize handover parameters, load balancing, carrier aggregation, and ANR relations.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports to customers and management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of radio network optimization experience, preferably with Nokia equipment.
• Proven experience in pre‑launch 5G optimization, site acceptance, and cluster verification.
• Familiarity with NSA and/or SA 5G deployments.
• Relevant certifications in 5G NR or Nokia technologies are a plus.
