Tree Implementation & Audit Internship – Tanzania

About the role

This internship supports One Acre Fund’s tree program in Tanzania, helping smallholder farmers access fruit tree seedlings and ensuring the program’s implementation meets quality standards. You will work closely with the Tanzania team based in Iringa and its satellite offices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the rollout of tree seedlings to farmers across the program regions.
• Support data collection and verification during field visits.
• Help compile audit reports on tree distribution and farmer uptake.
• Coordinate with local staff to track inventory and logistics of tree seedlings.
• Contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities, including basic data entry and analysis.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently graduated from a university program related to agriculture, environmental studies, development, or a similar field.
• Strong interest in supporting smallholder farmers and sustainable agriculture.
• Willingness to travel within Tanzania and work in field environments.
• Good communication skills in English.
