Technical Services Manager

About the role

The Technical Services Manager will provide strategic leadership for Engineering and Utilities functions at the Maltings plant, ensuring reliable operation of all process areas and environmental equipment. This role drives plant reliability, system integrity, and compliance with safety, health, and environmental legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, healthy, and risk‑free working environment while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Lead human‑resource activities, including performance reviews, industrial‑relations climate, and talent development for technical roles.
• Oversee technical pipelines, apprenticeships, and artisan development to sustain a skilled workforce.
• Ensure manufacturing systems, instrumentation, and engineering standards are calibrated, documented, and controlled.
• Diagnose business performance issues and collaborate with specialist teams to implement integrated HR and operational solutions.
• Monitor organization performance, employee engagement data, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 2‑3 years of managerial experience in a technical services department.
• 5‑7 years of experience within an FMCG environment.
• Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and ensure corporate governance of equipment and systems.
