Technical Service Manager

About the role

The Technical Service Manager will lead the Engineering and Utilities functions at the Maltings plant, ensuring reliable operation of all process areas and environmental equipment. This senior position combines strategic oversight with hands‑on responsibility for plant health, safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, healthy, and risk‑free working environment while ensuring compliance with safety, health and environmental legislation.
• Lead human‑resource activities, including performance reviews, apprenticeship programs and industrial‑relations climate.
• Oversee technical pipelines for key roles and develop engineering standards through ZBS Maintenance and Energy & Fluids reporting.
• Ensure system integrity, change control, and calibration of site instrumentation.
• Diagnose business performance issues and collaborate with specialist teams to deliver integrated HR solutions.
• Monitor organization performance, employee engagement data and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree advantageous).
• 2‑3 years of managerial experience in a technical service department.
• 5‑7 years of experience within a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of engineering standards and compliance.
• Experience with instrumentation calibration and maintenance.
• Understanding of system integrity and change‑control processes.
