Technical Aid 2 – Underground Geology

About the role

The Technical Aid 2 supports the Underground Geology team at Geita Gold Mine by delivering accurate and timely geological field work, sampling, mapping and drilling support in line with GGML standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform underground geological duties following SOPs, health and safety standards, and site requirements.
• Prepare, label, and dispatch geological samples while adhering to QA/QC procedures.
• Inspect and handle RC and diamond drill core samples, ensuring cleanliness and correct identification.
• Conduct face and grab sampling to aid grade control and resource evaluation.
• Assist with underground face and development mapping, recording observations accurately.
• Support routine inspections of stopes, development areas and stockpiles, reporting geological findings.

• Commitment to high safety, environmental and housekeeping standards.
• Ability to follow detailed SOPs and QA/QC protocols.
• Attention to detail in sample handling, documentation and data collection.
