Software Engineer: VoMS & USSD

About the role

Vodafone is looking for a Software Engineer to support and develop its VoMS and USSD systems. You will be part of a global team that delivers connectivity services, ensuring operational stability, security compliance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and engineer VoMS and USSD platforms, handling change management and incident resolution.
• Support product and service configuration, development and deployment on VoMS/USSD systems.
• Participate in VoMS and USSD projects, providing technical expertise and ensuring security compliance.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support agile delivery practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in system support and software development.
• Strong knowledge of service, change and project management.
• Familiarity with telecom and fintech concepts, GSM basics considered a plus.

Required skills

• APIs design and integration.
• Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
• CI/CD tools and processes.
• Core internet protocols: TCP/IP, HTTP(s), DNS, FTP, SSH, SMPP.
• Version control systems and branching strategies.
• Programming languages: Java, Golang, Groovy, Python, C/C++, JavaScript, PHP.
• Databases: MariaDB/MySQL, Oracle, SQL, MongoDB.
• Unix/Linux and Windows Server administration.
• Cloud‑native technologies.
