Site Engineer (Telecom)

About the role

We are seeking a Site Engineer to lead telecom infrastructure projects on‑site, ensuring installations meet ZTE standards and are delivered on schedule. The role involves close collaboration with project directors, engineering managers and customer engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive site surveys at project launch, following PD/EM instructions.
• Inspect and verify telecom equipment quantity and quality against packing lists upon arrival.
• Supervise subcontractor installers, enforce quality control and adherence to ZTE installation standards.
• Coordinate with PD/EM and customer engineers to complete final project acceptance testing.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Proven experience in telecom site engineering, hardware installation or site supervision; experience with ZTE equipment preferred.
• Native or fluent Swahili and professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Strong sense of responsibility, quality awareness and effective communication skills.
