Senior Technical Specialist, Mine Geology

About the role

The Senior Technical Specialist, Mine Geology provides technical leadership and governance for all geological systems, processes and projects supporting both open‑pit and underground operations. The role ensures that geological data, modelling and reconciliation workflows are accurate, reliable and aligned with operational value, enabling optimal ore definition, tracking and recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of geological systems and data workflows.
• Deliver high‑quality geological data analysis, interpretation and 3D modelling to support ore definition and production tracking.
• Maintain and administer Mine‑to‑Mill reconciliation processes, ensuring material is correctly defined, routed and blended for plant feed.
• Oversee licensing and coordination with external providers for geological and production‑tracking software platforms.
• Analyse operational and reconciliation data to identify gaps, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Produce robust, timely analysis and reporting aligned with operational requirements.
• Plan, prioritize and execute technical projects within complex geological environments.
• Mentor and coach geology staff, fostering capability development and technical performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mine geology, preferably in both open‑pit and underground settings.
• Strong understanding of geological data management, 3D modelling and Mine‑to‑Mill reconciliation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and drive process improvements.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across geology, mining, processing and corporate functions.
• Commitment to safety, integrity, collaboration and continuous improvement.
