Senior Recruitment Officer

About the role

The Senior Recruitment Officer leads the end‑to‑end recruitment function for both internal and client assignments, ensuring vacancies are filled on time while maintaining strong client relationships and compliance with labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management and onboarding.
• Coordinate hiring needs with clients, HR managers and hiring managers to meet agreed timelines.
• Build and sustain client relationships, providing regular progress updates and reports.
• Lead, coach and mentor the recruitment team, monitoring performance and improving productivity.
• Maintain accurate recruitment records, databases and ensure data confidentiality.
• Prepare and submit quarterly employment returns to the Tanzania Employment Services Agency (TAESA) in compliance with local regulations.
• Design and deliver training sessions on HR, recruitment, labour law and talent management.
• Develop and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum three years of proven experience in recruitment, talent acquisition or executive search.
• Experience managing end‑to‑end recruitment assignments, preferably in agencies, outsourcing firms or consulting environments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, coaching and supervisory abilities.
• Good knowledge of labour laws and recruitment best practices.
• Outstanding organizational, time‑management and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple recruitment assignments simultaneously.
