Senior Quantity Surveyor – Tendering, Estimation & Bidding

About the role

Our client, a leading steel fabrication firm, is looking for a senior Quantity Surveyor to head tendering, estimation and commercial bidding for structural steel, PEB, mining, tank, silo and piping projects. The role combines technical take‑offs, cost analysis and commercial risk management to deliver competitive and profitable proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Review RFQs, tender documents, drawings and specifications to devise effective tender strategies.
• Lead the preparation, coordination and timely submission of technical and commercial bids.
• Produce detailed quantity take‑offs and BOQs from IFC, GA and Tekla drawings for various steel and industrial projects.
• Maintain accurate quantity registers, track drawing revisions and quantity changes.
• Develop cost sheets, selling price analyses and support management in pricing approvals.
• Assess payment terms, warranties, liquidated damages and other commercial risks.
• Assist in commercial negotiations, variation order pricing, claims and post‑award handover to project teams.
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly tendering, BOQ, vendor comparison, MIS and win/loss reports.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical or Quantity Surveying (or equivalent).
• 8–12 years of experience in tendering, estimation or commercial management.
• At least 3 years in a senior Quantity Surveyor or Tendering Manager position.
