Senior Project Manager - Telecom & Mobile Money

About the role

We are looking for a senior Tanzanian professional to lead end‑to‑end delivery of telecom and mobile‑money solutions within Huawei’s Delivery Management Department. Based in Tanzania, the role will oversee complex, carrier‑grade projects, manage large budgets and ensure high‑quality execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals and deliverables aligned with strategic business objectives.
• Plan, execute and close projects, ensuring timelines and milestones are met.
• Allocate resources, build and develop project team capabilities.
• Manage project budgets, mitigate financial risks and optimise resource usage.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules, track progress and manage customer expectations.
• Develop and sustain deep customer relationships while leading quality‑assurance activities.
• Report regularly on status, risks and solutions to stakeholders.
• Handle scope changes dynamically and evaluate final results for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of project management experience in the telecom carrier domain.
• Strong background with Online Charging Systems (OCS) and Mobile Money platforms.
• Proven track record of leading and developing project teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience with major telecom operators or vendors such as Nokia or Ericsson is an asset.
