Senior Programme Associate – MECC/DRR

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Programme Associate to support the Resilience and Climate‑Induced Displacement (RE2CLID) programme in the Kigoma Region of Tanzania. The role will contribute to evidence‑based programming, monitoring, reporting and stakeholder coordination to address climate‑ and disaster‑related displacement.

Key responsibilities

• Support planning, coordination and follow‑up of programme activities in line with approved workplans and results frameworks.
• Assist with monitoring and evaluation processes, including data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Prepare and submit regular programme implementation reports and updates.
• Facilitate stakeholder coordination, organize workshops, consultations and steering‑committee meetings.
• Conduct research, support capacity‑building activities and manage knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams, government counterparts and implementing partners to ensure coherent delivery.

Required profile

• University degree in social sciences, development studies, environmental studies or a related field.
• Proven experience in programme management, preferably in migration, climate resilience or disaster risk reduction.
• Familiarity with the Tanzanian context and ability to work with government and partner organisations.
• Strong analytical, writing and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
