Senior IP Engineer

About the role

Huawei Tanzania is looking for a Senior IP Engineer to lead the design, implementation and troubleshooting of large‑scale IP networks. The role involves translating customer requirements into robust network solutions and guiding project delivery across medium to large projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end network architectures for projects exceeding 100 network elements.
• Lead requirement clarification sessions and produce executable solution designs.
• Perform rapid fault isolation and develop remediation plans for complex IP issues.
• Oversee project teams as Technical Lead, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to plans.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on access, data‑center and enterprise network segments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience as a network engineer, preferably on medium‑ and large‑scale projects.
• Proven experience leading project teams (Technical Lead role).
• Relevant certifications such as HCIE, HCIP or CCIE are a plus.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of MPLS, SRv6, IPv6, BGP and interior gateway protocols (OSPF, IS‑IS).
• Experience with various VPN technologies.
• Strong network design and troubleshooting capabilities.
