Scaling Manager – Tanzania

About the role

Parenting for Lifelong Health (PLH) is seeking its first Scaling Manager in Tanzania to lead the expansion of evidence‑based parenting support across the country. The role focuses on scaling the ParentApp blended‑digital intervention, aiming to reduce violence against children, improve caregiver mental health, and promote healthy child development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a national scaling strategy for ParentApp, targeting sustainable, population‑level reach.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships with government ministries, UNICEF, NGOs, faith‑based organisations, and academic institutions.
• Negotiate and oversee partnership agreements, memoranda of understanding, and implementation arrangements.
• Identify pathways to embed ParentApp within existing health, education, social welfare, cash‑transfer, child‑protection, and faith‑based service platforms.
• Collaborate with PLH’s global Scaling & Innovation team to adapt, pilot, evaluate, and continuously improve the app for the Tanzanian context.
• Track reach projections, monitor performance metrics, and report progress to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience scaling behavioural‑change or digitally enabled interventions in Tanzania or similar contexts.
• Strong background in managing complex projects and coordinating multi‑stakeholder partnerships.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with government agencies and civil‑society partners.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.

Required skills

• Experience with digital health or education platforms.
• Project management and monitoring‑evaluation expertise.
• Knowledge of Tanzanian health, education, and social protection systems.
