Registered Nurse – Inpatient PRN (Days)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide inpatient care on a PRN (as‑needed) basis during day shifts. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing services in a fast‑paced operating‑room environment, supporting patients through assessment, treatment planning and coordination with the care team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform systematic patient assessments covering physiological, psychological and cognitive status.
• Develop and prioritize goal‑directed nursing plans based on diagnoses and desired outcomes.
• Implement care consistently, adhering to established protocols and emergency procedures.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Respond efficiently to emergency situations, maintain calm, and communicate with appropriate personnel.
• Review and execute physician orders professionally.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required profile

• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Minimum two years of nursing experience, preferably in phase II level of care.
• Strong organizational skills for a fast‑paced OR setting.
• Completion of de‑escalation training within 30 days of hire.

Required skills

• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days).
• CMSRN certification preferred.
• Proficiency in patient assessment, care planning and documentation.
