Regional Clinical Services Coordinator - Zanzibar

About the role

The Regional Clinical Services Coordinator provides technical leadership and coordination for the implementation, quality improvement, and scale‑up of comprehensive HIV and TB services under the EpiC & AFGHS‑FHI360 projects in Tanzania. The role offers strategic and technical guidance to strengthen quality, coverage, integration, and effectiveness of HIV/TB services across Police and Prisons in Zanzibar.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee technical implementation and quality of HTS, prevention, care, treatment, AHD, PMTCT/EID, TB, NCD integration and cervical cancer screening at supported sites.
• Lead, supervise and coordinate regional technical activities, ensuring alignment with central technical teams and national guidelines.
• Monitor program performance against targets, identify service delivery gaps and provide timely technical support.
• Build capacity of District Health Management Teams (DHMTs) through training, mentorship, supportive supervision and data‑driven performance improvement.
• Coordinate quarterly joint DHMT supportive supervision, training, CME and mentorship sessions for health workers.
• Facilitate TB‑HIV integration activities and collaborate with monitoring and evaluation teams to assess intervention effectiveness.

Required profile

• Medical degree (or related field) with national registration; Master’s in Public Health is an advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in HIV/TB clinical services, preferably in public‑health or donor‑funded programs.
• Proven experience in program implementation, clinical mentorship, supportive supervision and quality improvement.
• Experience working with Ministry of Health, DHMTs, healthcare facilities, CSOs and implementing partners.
• Demonstrated ability in program monitoring, data analysis, reporting and using data for service improvement.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to analyze program data for performance monitoring, quality improvement and evidence‑based decision‑making.
