Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Our client, a leading construction firm operating across Tanzania, is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its growing team. The role involves managing costs throughout the lifecycle of commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Monitor project costs and ensure compliance with the approved budget.
• Evaluate contractor and supplier quotations.
• Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
• Manage contract administration and cost reporting.
• Conduct site measurements and perform project cost analysis.
• Support project teams with cost control and financial planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Economics or a related field.
• Registration with a relevant professional body is an advantage.
• Minimum five years of quantity surveying experience in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation and project budgeting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with quantity surveying software.
• Advanced skills in MS Office applications.
