Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Our client, a leading construction firm operating across Tanzania, is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its team. You will play a key role in managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring financial compliance on commercial, industrial, residential, and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Monitor project costs and ensure budget compliance.
• Evaluate contractor and supplier quotations.
• Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
• Manage contract administration and cost reporting.
• Conduct site measurements and project cost analysis.
• Support project teams in cost control and financial planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Economics or a related field.
• Registration with the relevant professional body is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, and project budgeting.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with quantity surveying software.
• Advanced use of MS Office applications.
