QA/QC Inspector – Electrical Cables & Terminations

About the role

The QA/QC Inspector will ensure that all electrical cable works and termination activities are carried out in line with project specifications, standards and client requirements. You will manage the full quality cycle from incoming inspection to final hand‑over documentation, working closely with technicians, supervisors and client representatives.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect cable installation activities, including routing, tray/duct work, bending radius, pulling practices, protection, tagging and identification.
• Verify termination workmanship – correct kits, lugging/crimping, stress control, heat‑shrink/cold‑shrink application, gland sealing, earthing/bonding, phase identification and cleanliness.
• Witness and verify testing activities, ensuring safe test setups and that the correct tests (insulation resistance, sheath integrity, VLF/Hipot, continuity, phase ID, partial discharge) are performed.
• Validate test results against acceptance criteria and ensure proper completion of test records.
• Manage quality hold points and witness points according to the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) to prevent bypassing of approval stages.
• Prepare and maintain quality documentation – ITPs, checklists, test forms, material approvals and daily inspection records.
• Identify non‑conformances, raise NCRs and track corrective actions to closure.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of electrical cable installation and termination processes.
• Experience with quality assurance/quality control procedures in construction or industrial projects.
• Ability to work closely with site teams, subcontractors and client representatives to resolve quality issues promptly.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation.
