Packaging Operator

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Operator to safely run and maintain our packaging equipment and related processes. You will work on a production line that delivers high‑volume consumer goods, ensuring optimal effectiveness while following our safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate packaging equipment and associated processes on a shift basis.
• Perform housekeeping tasks and apply 5S principles to maintain a clean work environment.
• Identify and correct unsafe work practices.
• Support the creation and documentation of standard work procedures, quick‑fix routines and problem‑solving methods.
• Carry out quality checks, record results in the information system and apply problem‑solving techniques such as 5 WHY when issues arise.
• Escalate unresolved problems to the Line Manager.
• Participate actively in meetings, performance reviews and shift hand‑overs.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 9 months of on‑the‑job training.
• Experience in the FMCG industry is an advantage.
• Understanding of VPO (Value Process Optimization) principles.

Required skills

• Operation of packaging equipment.
• Application of 5S housekeeping methodology.
• Quality control and data recording.
• Problem‑solving techniques (5 WHY, quick‑fix routines).
