Nutrition Field Intern

About the role

The Nutrition Field Intern will join the NOURISH Tanzania project to support nutrition activities in the Rukwa and Songwe regions. Working directly in the field, the intern will collaborate with community health workers, farmers, local leaders, and extension officers to improve nutrition outcomes for smallholder households.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of nutrition‑focused activities at community level.
• Provide technical assistance to community health workers on nutrition messaging and practices.
• Support Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) initiatives to promote dietary diversity.
• Monitor field activities, collect and record data, and report findings to the project team.
• Help strengthen gender‑responsive household dynamics and integrated agriculture‑nutrition interventions.
• Contribute to strengthening linkages between farmers, health services, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Interest in nutrition, community development, and agricultural livelihoods.
• Willingness to work in remote field settings and travel within project districts.
• Good communication skills in English.
