Medical Sales Representative

About the role

Hala Pharma is seeking a motivated Medical Sales Representative to promote its pharmaceutical and nutraceutical portfolio across the assigned territory. You will be the primary link between the company and healthcare professionals, driving product awareness and sales growth.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, clinics, and health stores.
• Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with key healthcare decision‑makers.
• Conduct regular customer visits, product presentations, and detailing sessions according to the call plan.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify new business opportunities.
• Ensure product visibility and availability at points of sale through effective territory management.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in the company CRM system.
• Participate in medical conferences, health expos, and promotional events as required.
• Submit timely sales reports, expense claims, and activity summaries to line management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical or nutraceutical sales (fresh graduates with strong academic records may be considered).
• Good knowledge of the Tanzanian healthcare landscape and pharmaceutical regulations.
• Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self‑motivated with excellent territory and time‑management abilities.
• Fluent in English and Swahili (written and spoken).
• Valid Tanzanian driving licence and willingness to travel.
