Mechanical Technician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Mechanical Technician to ensure the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our manufacturing equipment. You will carry out preventive maintenance, use maintenance data to drive improvements and support the achievement of safety, quality and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with maintenance regulatory standards.
• Identify under‑performing plant areas and support improvement plans with maintenance leaders and craft teams.
• Maintain SAP data integrity for plant and equipment structures, maintenance plans, task lists and work orders.
• Assess and plan work requests in collaboration with Asset Care Leaders and Technicians.
• Coach store teams on effective planning using job knitting according to Diageo Work Planning and Scheduling standards.
• Drive the deployment of the Manufacturing Management System (MMS) Asset Care strategy with equipment owners and operators.
• Lead weekly integrated planning meetings to report maintenance requirements and performance.
• Support daily operational reviews and prioritize any non‑compliant scheduled work.

Required profile

• Proactive attitude with a strong focus on safety and compliance.
• Experience in plant maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work closely with operations, asset owners and technical teams.
• Good understanding of regulatory and work‑planning standards.

Required skills

• SAP (maintenance module) data management.
• Preventive maintenance techniques.
• Asset care and equipment reliability practices.
• Manufacturing Management System (MMS) usage.
• Work planning and scheduling standards (Diageo methodology).
