Marketing and Communication Executive

About the role

A leading consulting company, recruited through Shugulika Africa Limited, is looking for a Marketing and Communication Executive in Dar es Salaam. The role covers marketing communications from concept to production, mainly through social media, using technology and AI tools to improve creativity and efficiency. It also supports business development activities and contributes to organizational growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop monthly marketing communication plans aligned with business development, service delivery, market trends and brand focus.
• Create graphics, videos and other visual content, and write copy for social media, campaigns and articles.
• Capture and edit photos and videos for events, and produce multimedia content.
• Plan, schedule and post content across social media channels, and monitor pages for engagement.
• Build and manage online communities to foster engagement and brand loyalty.
• Conduct market research and analyze campaign and social media data to optimize strategies.
• Work with the Business Development Lead and support the business development team in tele-sales, tele-marketing and other activities.
• Use AI tools to speed up content creation and stay up to date with technological trends.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in marketing or content creation, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design or a related field.
• Highly organized, adaptable and able to work under pressure; creative and collaborative.

Required skills

• Graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Suno and Pictory.
• Photography, videography and video editing (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro).
• Social media management tools and analytics (Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics).
• Strong writing and editing skills, and effective use of AI tools.
