Market Access Coordinator – Tanzania (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a Market Access Coordinator to support its Tanzania program, which serves over 100,000 smallholder farmers. The coordinator will work on developing and implementing market‑access strategies that enable farmers to obtain quality inputs, tree seedlings and credit.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse Tanzanian agricultural policies, market trends and regulatory environments to identify opportunities and risks for smallholder farmers.
• Develop and execute market‑access plans in collaboration with the Iringa headquarters and regional offices (Mbeya, Njombe, Moshi).
• Coordinate with government agencies, input suppliers and financial partners to streamline supply chains and improve farmer access to inputs.
• Monitor and report on the impact of market‑access initiatives, providing data‑driven recommendations for program improvement.
• Support the preparation of advocacy materials and contribute to the design of training modules for farmer groups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Experience in market access, agribusiness or program management within East Africa.
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with Tanzanian agricultural markets.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Swahili.
