Manager – Secured Lending Portfolio

About the role

NBC, Tanzania’s longest‑standing bank, is seeking a Manager for Secured Lending to lead growth, profitability and portfolio quality across its secured lending products, including car loans, mortgages, asset financing and treasury‑backed lending.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute market‑led growth strategies for the secured lending portfolio.
• Develop and manage an end‑to‑end portfolio growth framework covering acquisition, retention, cross‑sell and revenue optimisation.
• Lead Scheme Relationship Managers and sales teams, establishing structured sales plans, productivity frameworks and activity schedules.
• Oversee the full sales pipeline lifecycle, from lead generation to activation, ensuring transparent tracking and target achievement.
• Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to inform product enhancements, pricing and sales campaigns.
• Monitor portfolio performance metrics such as disbursements, arrears, PAR, NPLs and recoveries, ensuring adherence to credit policies.

Required profile

• Strategic leadership experience in secured lending or related banking products.
• Proven ability to drive portfolio growth through structured acquisition and retention plans.
• Strong sales management skills, including coaching of relationship managers and pipeline oversight.
• Analytical mindset for market analysis, product performance review and credit risk monitoring.
