Logistics Officer – Humanitarian Operations

About the role

Action Against Hunger USA is seeking a Logistics Officer to provide comprehensive logistics support for its humanitarian programmes across multiple countries. The role ensures procurement, fleet, asset, and warehouse operations are carried out efficiently and in compliance with organisational and donor policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process procurement requests according to organisational and donor procedures, ensuring timely, competitive, and transparent purchasing.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of suppliers, price lists, and support framework agreement processes.
• Manage vehicle movement planning and tracking, coordinate with drivers, monitor fuel consumption, and oversee maintenance schedules.
• Ensure all organisational assets are properly tagged, recorded, and updated in the asset register; conduct periodic physical verification.
• Supervise receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, maintain accurate stock records, and uphold warehouse safety, cleanliness, and security standards.
• Support office maintenance, utilities, repairs, and ensure availability of office supplies by liaising with service providers.
• Maintain all logistics documentation, prepare and submit monthly logistics reports.

• Demonstrated ability to ensure effective and efficient logistics support services, including procurement, transport, asset, and warehouse management.
