IT Pre‑Sales Associate

About the role

Axia Tanzania is seeking an IT Pre‑Sales Associate to join its Dar es Salaam office. The role supports the sales team by translating client requirements into technical solutions, preparing proposals, and demonstrating IT products to prospective customers.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyse customer requirements to define solution scope.
• Prepare technical documentation, proposals and presentation decks.
• Conduct product demonstrations and respond to RFPs/RFQs.
• Collaborate with technical teams to design practical solution architectures.
• Participate in client meetings, presentations and sales workshops.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of company offerings, industry trends and competitor solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related field (preferred).
• 2‑4 years of experience in pre‑sales, technical sales support or a similar customer‑facing IT role.
• Strong technical understanding of IT systems, software solutions and infrastructure.
• Ability to analyse client needs, design solutions and develop proposals.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational and time‑management abilities to handle multiple opportunities.
• Basic sales and customer‑relationship skills, with familiarity of pre‑sales processes.
• Knowledge of the Tanzanian ICT market is a plus.
