IT Manager – Manufacturing

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead its technology function within a manufacturing environment in Tanzania. The role focuses on safeguarding data, maintaining robust infrastructure, and delivering reliable IT services to support business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enforce IT security policies to protect system integrity and confidentiality.
• Manage and maintain the entire IT infrastructure, including network connectivity, SAP and IQS systems, VLANs, fiber‑optic networks, and CCTV surveillance.
• Lead the IT support team, assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Provide end‑user support for hardware, software, network, and system problems to minimise downtime.
• Oversee lifecycle management of IT assets such as desktops, laptops, printers and scanners.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design and implement scalable IT solutions aligned with business needs.
• Monitor network performance, identify security vulnerabilities, maintain documentation and recommend infrastructure improvements.
• Conduct employee training on IT systems, cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
• Prepare regular reports for management on IT performance and ongoing improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT management within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, security protocols and asset management.
• Ability to lead a technical team and coordinate with various business units.
