Internal Auditor

About the role

The Internal Auditor will ensure that the organisation’s governance, risk management, internal controls, financial practices and operational processes meet the highest legal, ethical and efficiency standards. This role supports transparent leadership and safeguards assets across finance, logistics and information systems.

Key responsibilities

• Governance: Assess policies, procedures and SOPs for compliance with legal and ethical standards, report weaknesses and recommend improvements.
• Risk Management: Identify, evaluate and monitor risks affecting short‑ and long‑term objectives, propose immediate mitigation measures and improve risk frameworks.
• Internal Controls: Review design and effectiveness of controls, detect weaknesses, and suggest corrective actions to prevent fraud and errors.
• Financial Management: Verify accuracy of financial records, ensure compliance with local and international standards, and assess budgeting, revenue collection and asset management.
• Operational Processes: Analyse operational efficiency, identify waste or delays, and recommend enhancements for service delivery.
• Maritime & Air Freight Compliance: Ensure adherence to customs, transport, maritime and aviation regulations, reviewing import and cargo documentation.
• Information Systems: Evaluate security, reliability and change‑control processes, including data access, backups and cybersecurity measures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, CISA or CFE.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in audit, risk management, finance or logistics environments.
• Demonstrated professional integrity, strong analytical abilities and effective stakeholder communication.
