Import Executive – Tanzania

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Import Executive to lead end‑to‑end import operations in Tanzania. The role involves managing documentation, customs clearance and shipment coordination while ensuring full compliance with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the complete import process from supplier quotation to final delivery.
• Prepare and verify all import documentation in line with Tanzanian customs requirements.
• Coordinate customs clearance and resolve any issues that arise.
• Manage freight forwarding, shipment scheduling and tracking.
• Ensure compliance with TISEZA/EPZA regulations and other import‑related legislation.
• Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs authorities and internal departments to guarantee smooth operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in import operations, preferably in Tanzania.
• Strong knowledge of TISEZA/EPZA regulations and import compliance.
• Excellent organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
