Head of Product Development & Business Performance

About the role

The Retail Banking Business Performance Manager & Product Development (VP) leads the growth, profitability and efficiency of NBC's retail banking portfolio. The role aligns retail strategy with overall bank objectives while delivering customer‑centric, compliant and commercially viable products across all channels.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end performance management for retail banking, covering assets, liabilities, non‑funded income, customer acquisition and portfolio quality.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, scorecards, dashboards and reports for executive and board review.
• Partner with Branch, Digital and Sales teams to drive productivity, activation and customer growth.
• Provide data‑driven insights to support decision‑making, business optimisation and resource allocation.
• Design, develop and enhance retail products such as deposits, lending, payments, cards, agency and digital solutions.
• Own the product lifecycle from concept, pricing, approval, launch, performance tracking to exit.
• Coordinate product approvals with risk, compliance, legal, finance and ALCO.
• Drive innovation and digitisation of retail products to improve customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Ensure profitability and cost efficiency through pricing, cost management and revenue optimisation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and business planning for retail banking.
• Act as liaison between Retail Banking, Finance, Risk, Operations, IT, Compliance and Digital teams.
• Provide strategic insights, presentations and performance updates to executive management.
• Ensure all initiatives comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies and risk appetite.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail banking performance management and product development.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Demonstrated capability to manage cross‑functional stakeholder relationships.
• Understanding of regulatory, risk and compliance frameworks in banking.
