Head of Corporate Banking

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Head of Corporate Banking to lead the corporate banking division of a leading commercial bank. The role involves shaping strategy, driving revenue growth, and delivering innovative banking solutions to corporate and institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the corporate banking strategy to meet annual revenue and profitability targets.
• Identify new market opportunities and expand relationships with global, regional, public‑sector and financial‑institution clients.
• Oversee product lines including lending, trade finance, cash management and other financial solutions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the relationship‑management team, ensuring effective account allocation and performance management.
• Monitor portfolio performance, profitability and key metrics, and implement improvement initiatives.
• Manage credit proposals and ensure compliance with risk‑management policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regular business performance reports, sales pipeline updates and revenue forecasts.
• Collaborate with product partners to maximise cross‑selling and enhance client wallet share.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 8‑15 years of progressive experience in corporate or wholesale banking, with proven leadership experience.
• Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and strategic planning abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Demonstrated track record of managing large corporate client portfolios and driving revenue growth.
