Graduate Trainee Programme – 30‑Month Rotational Role

About the role

Sandvik Central Africa offers a 30‑month Graduate Trainee Programme designed to give recent engineering graduates hands‑on experience across all technical and service departments in a mining environment. Participants will rotate through multiple functions, receive mentorship from senior experts, and develop the skills needed to excel in the mining industry.

Key responsibilities

• Complete rotations in technical and service departments, gaining exposure to equipment design, maintenance, and operations.
• Assist engineering teams with project tasks, data analysis, and problem‑solving activities.
• Support the repair and maintenance of automotive, electrical, mechanical, and heavy‑equipment assets.
• Participate in safety and compliance training required for mining work.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement process improvements.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related engineering field, or a certificate/diploma in Automotive, Electrical, Mechanical, or Heavy‑equipment repairs.
• Graduated in 2024 or 2025.
• Maximum age of 26 years.
• Physically and medically fit to work in a mining environment.
