Financial Analyst

About the role

The Financial Analyst provides accurate, timely and insightful financial analysis that supports business planning, performance management, budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision‑making. The role involves analysing financial and operational data, identifying trends and variances, and translating financial information into actionable business insights.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile financial data across multiple systems, investigate discrepancies and log service requests.
• Prepare and circulate finance master‑data mapping files for month‑end closing and budgeting cycles.
• Develop simple financial tools and enhance reports to optimise reporting processes and data analytics.
• Ensure effective financial tracking of local and national promotions through accurate reporting.
• Identify opportunities to digitise and automate finance processes, supporting digital transformation.
• Design and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document deficiencies and work with developers to resolve them.
• Provide input for training materials, monitor project performance and manage risks.
• Support audit activities by supplying required information, implementing action plans and strengthening internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CFA is an advantage.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, FP&A, management accounting or investment analysis.
• Experience working with large data sets and building financial models.
• Proven ability to prepare management reports, budgets and forecasts.
