Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will be based at the Mbezi Beach office in Dar es Salaam and will oversee the finance function for all Cerba Lancet business units across Tanzania. Reporting to the Country General Manager with a dotted‑line to the East Africa and Group CFOs, the role combines hands‑on accounting with strategic financial leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow and equity changes.
• Lead the annual budgeting, staffing and operational planning processes.
• Authorize and monitor all payments, ensuring system integrity and compliance.
• Maintain control accounts, fixed‑asset register and general‑ledger reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, ISO and internal audit requirements.
• Travel regularly to business units in Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Mbeya, Dodoma, Mwanza, Arusha and Kilimanjaro to supervise local finance teams.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Proven experience in managing finance functions for multi‑site operations.
• Strong understanding of Tanzanian accounting standards and regulatory environment.
• Ability to work closely with senior management and provide commercial insight.
