Draughtsman (CAD) – Mtwara

About the role

We are seeking a competent and motivated Draughtsman to join our team in Mtwara. The role involves producing accurate CAD drawings for mechanical projects, including cement plant installations, and collaborating closely with project managers, design consultants, and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Create precise CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits.
• Integrate and coordinate with project managers, design consultants, and subcontractors to produce and modify drawings.
• Develop creative design solutions and produce sketches that meet project requirements.
• Maintain and continuously update project drawing lists.
• Print drawing sets in various formats for project managers and site superintendents.
• Organise and save sketches and drawings on the CAD server, updating folders as revisions occur.
• Seek clarification from engineers and project managers when needed.
• Create, edit, and update standard detail libraries for use in projects.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of two years of relevant drafting experience.
• Experience in cement plant projects is an advantage.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental regulations.
• Good data gathering, analysis, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Experience with other CAD design software.
