Credit Analyst

About the role

The Credit Analyst will evaluate credit applications from individual and business clients, assess their creditworthiness, and help manage the bank's risk exposure. This role involves detailed financial analysis, documentation review, and close interaction with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of credit applications, analysing financial statements, credit histories and supporting documents.
• Perform fraud checks, verify client identification and ensure compliance with the Retail Credit Policy.
• Make informed credit decisions within delegated authority and perform credit reference checks and due‑diligence.
• Monitor emerging credit trends to refine assessment methodologies.
• Prepare and issue offer letters, communicate loan decisions to clients and ensure collateralisation procedures are completed.
• Coordinate with legal, treasury, security and branch teams to align loan processing with service level agreements.

Required profile

• Proven ability to conduct thorough credit assessments and financial analysis.
• Experience performing due‑diligence, fraud verification and credit reference checks.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to banking policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Effective communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination.
