Corporate Security Manager – Tanzania

About the role

The Corporate Security Manager will lead JTI's security function across Tanzania, reporting to the Regional Corporate Security Director and working closely with the Tanzania General Manager and factory leadership. This role ensures a risk‑based, cost‑effective security strategy that protects people, assets, and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement security strategy, maintain the Security Risk Register, and lead crisis response and incident management.
• Oversee personnel and asset protection programs, including travel security, executive protection, visitor management, and supply‑chain security.
• Conduct risk assessments, security audits, background checks, due‑diligence investigations, and ensure compliance with physical security standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, law enforcement, intelligence agencies, and external security partners.
• Manage the annual security budget, vendor contracts, and security service providers.
• Lead, coach, and develop the local Corporate Security team, including succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in security/risk management, criminal justice, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CPP, PSP, or comparable credentials.
• Proven experience in corporate security, risk assessment, crisis management, and investigations.
• Strong ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and external agencies.
