Contract Management Specialist – Tanzania Railway (20+ yrs exp)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Contract Management Specialist to support the Tanzania Railway project. The role involves overseeing the preparation, review, and administration of tender documents, procurement contracts, and related contractual arrangements to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

Key responsibilities

• Support the drafting and review of Terms of Reference (TORs), bid documents, and procurement contracts.
• Assist in bid evaluation, contract negotiations, and management of agreements with suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
• Monitor contract performance, including payments, insurance, guarantees, and compliance with contractual terms.
• Track variations, delays, and claims, and prepare periodic reports for effective contract oversight.
• Maintain accurate records of contract documents and ensure timely updates.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant field (preferred).
• Master’s degree in Project/Contract Management or Law.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Railway Engineering.
• Extensive experience (20+ years) in contract management within large infrastructure projects.
