Compliance Supervisor

About the role

The Compliance Supervisor ensures that the organization adheres to Tanzanian laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role supports continuous improvement of the compliance framework across health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all Tanzanian laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular compliance inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs and procedures.
• Investigate compliance violations and prepare detailed reports with recommendations.
• Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external auditors during inspections.
• Maintain validity of operational licenses, permits, and statutory requirements.
• Train employees on compliance policies, ethical conduct, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate compliance documentation and records.
• Prepare periodic compliance reports for senior management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the compliance framework.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Risk Management, Compliance, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, or Health & Safety are a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant compliance experience, preferably in FMCG or Construction.
• Proven experience dealing with regulatory authorities and conducting compliance audits.
• Strong understanding of Tanzanian regulatory and statutory compliance requirements.
