Communications Officer – Urban Youth Programming

About the role

World Vision Tanzania is seeking a Communications Officer to lead communication and advocacy efforts for its urban youth programming. The role focuses on creating high‑impact stories, managing digital channels, and ensuring donor visibility across Dar es Salaam and Dodoma.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies and campaign schedules aligned with project milestones and donor requirements.
• Create ethical written and visual content – stories, case studies, blogs, photo essays, and short videos – from field visits to urban sites and health facilities.
• Maintain a digital content repository and manage social media platforms (X, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and the project website.
• Design digital campaign assets such as infographics and flyers, monitor engagement metrics, and optimize messaging for youth audiences.
• Ensure 100% compliance with Government of Canada (GAC) and AHADI branding, logo usage, and visibility guidelines for all materials and reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in communication strategy, campaign planning, and advocacy.
• Strong background in content creation, storytelling, and multimedia production.
• Experience managing digital media platforms and analyzing audience engagement.
• Familiarity with donor visibility requirements and reporting compliance.
