CNC Operator / Designer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator/Designer to join our manufacturing team. You will set up, program, and run CNC machinery to produce high‑quality components while maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast‑paced workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain safety and 5S standards in the workshop.
• Interpret manufacturing drawings and translate them into CNC programs.
• Program CNC machines and generate G‑code using manual methods or software such as MasterCAM/Autodesk.
• Set up, operate, and supervise CNC machines for drilling, grinding, milling, and turning tasks.
• Inspect finished parts, measure against specifications, and adjust processes as needed.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives by reducing waste and extending tool life.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis, component failure analysis, and design reviews.
• Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
• Coach and guide learners on CNC operations.

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualification (fitter & turner, toolmaker, or similar).
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC machinery with FANUC controls.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Resilience and ability to work under pressure.
