Cluster Finance & Administration Officer

About the role

The Cluster Finance & Administration Officer supports the financial and administrative functions of a humanitarian cluster, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and internal controls while facilitating smooth day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply cluster business requirements in daily activities.
• Process all cluster disbursements within the approved control system and budget, posting weekly data into Sun Systems.
• Perform weekly accounts allocation for balance‑sheet items, including advances, payables, receivables, partner and staff accounts.
• Prepare project Financial Funding Requests (FFR) with complete documentation and ensure donor‑required reporting.
• Coordinate vendor performance evaluations, contract set‑up, monitoring of deliveries, and timely renewals or terminations.
• Consolidate project funding requests in line with cash‑flow forecasts to maintain target cash levels.
• Serve as the primary contact for supplier queries, AP‑related issues, and provide support for office assessments and staff onboarding.
• Participate in capacity‑building activities for new finance and administration staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or a related field.
• 2–3 years of professional experience in finance, accounting or administration.
• Strong understanding of donor compliance, budgeting and financial reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively across clusters and with external partners.
