Casual Registered Nurse – Murray Area

About the role

This casual position is based in Murray and surrounding areas, providing direct patient care in line with clinical standards and organisational policies. The Registered Nurse will assess patients, develop care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and create individualized nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and monitor patient responses.
• Document all care activities accurately in the medical record.
• Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and self‑care.
• Participate in quality, safety, and infection‑control initiatives.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licence.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment, care planning, medication administration, and patient monitoring.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and evidence‑based practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required); ACLS or other specialty certifications are an advantage.
• Experience in acute or primary care settings is preferred but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (preferred).
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
