Asset Risk Supervisor

About the role

The Asset Risk Supervisor oversees the day‑to‑day operations of the Asset Risk department, ensuring effective handling of special cases, investigations, fraud, vandalism and emergency incidents. The role provides expert advice on investigations and enforces company policies while managing a portfolio of high‑risk accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Manage team workflow: analyse, assign and monitor cases.
• Compile and submit daily performance reports to the Recovery Manager.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching for officers and seniors.
• Approve cost‑control measures and assess risk mitigation strategies for company assets.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, code of conduct and administrative procedures.
• Lead change initiatives and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain a minimum 85% month‑over‑month resolution rate and manage turnaround times for assigned cases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of experience in asset risk, investigations or fraud enforcement.
• Strong communication, planning, organisational and negotiation abilities.
• High integrity, enthusiasm for continuous learning and strong interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, ability to work under changing priorities and interact with all organisational levels.
• Commitment to a minimum one‑year employment period with watu.
