Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

The Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant to join its finance team. You will provide financial, administrative and clerical support, ensuring timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments while upholding the company’s health, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices in SAP using three‑way matching, tax‑code validation and discrepancy resolution.
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve finance‑related queries.
• Manage petty‑cash system, process and reconcile petty‑cash accounts.
• Match purchase orders and service contracts to invoices and ensure proper authorization.
• Prepare payment commitments, validate due dates and payment terms, and allocate payments in SAP.
• Monitor and control AP ledger balances, reconcile AP GL accounts, analyze aging reports and produce monthly reconciliations.
• Maintain historical payment records and improve the payment process continuously.
• Complete required safety interactions, report incidents, and perform shift housekeeping.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with financial data.
• Experience handling supplier invoices, purchase orders and payment cycles.
• Commitment to safety, zero‑harm culture and regular safety interactions.
• Ability to work independently and support the Financial Controller.
