Accounts Manager

About the role

The Accounts Manager will support the National Office in Tanzania by strengthening internal controls, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, and managing cashflow and disbursements. This role is critical to safeguarding financial integrity and supporting the organization’s mission to help vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with regulations such as NSSF, PAYE, and WVT.
• Lead tax health checks, resolve identified tax risks, and approve financial transactions within authorized limits.
• Coordinate external and internal finance audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Maintain and update the finance risk register and enforce a zero‑tolerance fraud framework.
• Manage disbursements, cashflow forecasting, supplier payments, petty‑cash processes, and banking activities.
• Oversee mobile‑money payment processing, ensuring supporting documentation and timely approvals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance, compliance, audit, or treasury functions.
• Strong knowledge of Tanzanian statutory regulations (NSSF, PAYE, WVT).
• Ability to coordinate audits and implement risk‑management recommendations.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work within established financial controls.
